Carrie Connell began her career in audit in 2003 and today works in our risk advisory group with clients primarily in the financial services industry. She is experienced in both public and nonpublic financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, regulatory compliance audits and fraud and forensic accounting. On numerous occasions, Carrie has assisted de novo institutions in transitioning from an organizational stage to fully operational companies. She specializes in administering and performing Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance for accelerated filers and smaller reporting companies, FDICIA compliance and operational and financial internal audits.

Matt Sabo

Director

Matt Sabo is a director with 25+ years of experience in data management, data integration, and advanced statistical analysis. Matt has planned enterprise data-management strategies and implemented analytic solutions for clients in the financial services, commercial real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, and technology industries. He has deep industry knowledge in financial-services analytics, particularly in the areas of credit management, lending performance, risk profiling and compliance reporting. In addition, Matt helps organizations integrate predictive models into their operational processes.

Jeff Olejnik

Jeff Olejnik is responsible for the leadership, growth, and development of Wipfli’s cybersecurity services practice. He is a highly experienced IT security services professional with more than 20 years in the industry. Jeff helps clients manage risk through effective information security, business continuity planning, and program management. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with proven experience in building successful companies in the IT services industry.

Jeff is a frequent speaker and author on risk management-related topics including cybersecurity, incident response, and business continuity planning. As an active participant in various associations and within the community, he is frequently interviewed for his insight on how companies can improve their cybersecurity and business continuity preparedness.

Tom Loring

As a partner in Wipfli’s risk advisory services practice, Thomas Loring performs a variety of functions in internal controls, information technology (IT) and information security. He performs technology auditing in all areas of IT-related controls, including IT department organization and administration, daily operations, software change management, logical security and physical security. Tom regularly performs System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1 and SOC 2 examinations, IT general control reviews, information risk assessments and consulting for clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial institutions, third-party data processors, statement printers, data centers and more.
